Jackson Hole QuickDraw & Art Auction Jackson Hole Quickdraw

Held every year on the historic Jackson Town Square and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce's biggest fundraiser, the Jackson Hole QuickDraw is an art event unlike any other! A roster of thirty renowned wildlife, landscape, and Western Artists are selected each year by the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival Committee to participate in a uniquely formatted art event in front of a live audience! Selected artists have only 90 minutes to complete auction-worthy pieces in various mediums. All pieces are subsequently placed on the auction block with the paint still wet!

If you want to spectate, stop by one of Jackson's many cafes, pick up a cup of coffee or tasty pastry, and then stroll over to the Town Square Park! Remember, Jackson can be pretty cold in September, so bring a coat and hat. Walking into the park, you will see Jackson's QuickDraw artists set up with their easels. Stroll through, and you will see them working in various mediums and styles; gunpowder has even appeared in the past! If you are interested in participating in the auction, it will be an art-buying experience unlike any other! Thirty minutes after the final bell signaling artists to put down their brushes and tools, the auction component of QuickDraw will begin!

Held in a tent right off the Town Square, bidders can enjoy coffee, pastries, and more as each QuickDraw piece is put on the auction block. Over three hours, all 30 pieces are put up for auction and sold, with proceeds being split between the artists themselves and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. All proceeds given to the Chamber of Commerce are used to fund free community events held throughout the year, including the 4th of July, Trick-or-Treat on Town Square, Town Square Lighting, and more!

However, the auction fun continues even after all thirty pieces are sold! This year, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, two featured artists have been selected and commissioned to create featured pieces in the festival's honor. The first, this year's Featured Painter, is Roger Ore of West Lives On Gallery. For his commission, Roger Ore has crafted Nature's Playground, an exquisite 56" x 40" oil on Linen depicting the majestic Tetons. Nature's Playground has been commemorated on a limited run of Fall Arts Festival posters, which can be purchased online or at the Chamber office. The second is Bryce Pettit of Mountain Trails Gallery. Long considered a premier sculptor of wildlife art, Bryce's commission is Born and Raised, a majestic bronze bald eagle perched atop a branch. Ten editions of Born and Raised have been cast for the QuickDraw auction. Auction sales for Born and Raised will be determined by a lottery pool of interested buyers who register their intent-to-purchase prior to QuickDraw. To learn more and how to register, provide your contact details with this inquiry link.  Born and Raised will also be commemorated on a limited run of Fall Arts Festival posters, which can be purchased online or at Chamber offices. Nature's Playground and the ten editions of Born and Raised will be auctioned at the end of the QuickDraw.
